Celebrating the New Year, these children were dancing and singing to their heart’s content. They were among under-privileged children under the support of Kloom Saeng Thian Foundation .
Phra Maha Samai Jintakhosako , secretary-general of the foundation, said the foundation was now taking care of some 2,000 children through 13 programmes around the country. Among them were drug addicts, the homeless and orphans.
Founded 23 years ago, the foundation is aimed at helping under-privileged children to get back on the right track and continue their studies. Some of them are now university graduates.
Phra Maha Samai said the foundation’s efforts solely relied on donations from the general public.
Co hosts of the new year party were former children under the patronage of the foundation. It was a good opportunity for them to visit children facing a similar fate they faced.
